She self-identifies as a lesbian author and black African feminist activist, whose work focuses on the visibility and promotion of the voices and stories of LBTQ+ individuals. Emma has collaborated with various organizations in Africa to advocate for the rights of LBTQ+ Francophone Africans. She founded a digital media outlet, EmmaLInfos (WOMA Media), which showcases the voices and narratives of LBTQ+ individuals in Francophone West Africa. Emma joined the QAYN team as the Communication and Knowledge Management Responsible to continue her engagement in the movment.
