QET Inclusion

Our Story

In 2015, a group of gender non-binary activists implemented in Abidjan, Cote d’Ivoire INITIATIVE TRANS, a group that reflects on ways to promote better understanding of gender diversity in our communities. One recommendation that resulted from these reflections was to establish a trans* organization.

On December 15th, 2015, the General Assembly created QET INCLUSION, a non-governmental trans-feminist organization that values trans* and feminist leadership so as to improve the wellbeing of gender minorities.

QET INCLUSION thus becomes the first trans* organization both in Francophone and Western Africa, with a leadership team essentially comprised of trans* identified and/or gender non-binary people.
